Q&A With Imam
Is it true that this Masjid does not allow a woman to wash her deceased husband’s body, and a man is not allowed to wash his deceased wife’s body, as per the Hanafi school of thought?
The Hanafi Madhab doesn't allow a man to wash his deceased wifes body, whereas it does allow the wife to wash the deceased husbands body however its always preferred that the same gender does it, generally Masjid policy is as long as there is availability females wash females and males wash males. Therefore, we prefer males rather than the wife to wash the deceased husband.
As a legal ruling, it is important to understand that Hanafi madhab does not say it is Haram for a wife to wash her husbands body who has passed away.Is eating rabbit halal?
Yes, eating Rabbit is Halal. It has been specifically mentioned in Hadith narrations from Bukhari and Muslim.
What is Zakat?
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a form of almsgiving treated in Islam as a religious obligation or tax, which, by Quranic ranking, is next after prayer in importance. It is a duty on Muslims to support those in need.
Who should pay Zakat?
Every adult Muslim who meets the necessary criteria of wealth, known as Nisab, is required to pay Zakat. Nisab is defined as the minimum amount of wealth a Muslim must possess for a full lunar year before being obligated to contribute.
How is Zakat calculated?
Zakat is calculated as 2.5% of one's excess wealth that has been held for a lunar year. This includes cash, gold, silver, and business commodities. Accurate calculation is essential to fulfill the religious obligation correctly.
