At Banbury Madni Masjid, community service is at the heart of everything we do. Over the years, the Masjid has grown from a place of worship into a trusted community hub that supports individuals and families from all backgrounds across Banbury.
Our mission goes beyond providing a space for prayer. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where people can access support, education, wellbeing programmes, and positive community activities. Through faith, unity, and compassion, we continue working to strengthen and support the local community.
Since 2018, Banbury Madni Masjid has continued expanding its services to meet the growing needs of the community. Through projects such as the Community Fridge, Makkah Centre, and Umar Community Hub, we have developed safe and inclusive spaces where families can connect, learn, and receive support.
These facilities have become important centres for community engagement and wellbeing. They provide opportunities for people of all ages to take part in educational programmes, social activities, and support services that help improve everyday life.
By listening to the needs of local families and responding with practical support, the Masjid continues to play an active role in building a stronger and more connected community.

One of the most impactful initiatives at Community Fridge Project has been supporting individuals and families facing financial hardship by providing food and essential items to those in need.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Masjid became a lifeline for many vulnerable households across Banbury. With the support of volunteers, donors, and community partners, more than 3,000 food parcels were delivered to local families during a very difficult time.
This effort demonstrated the true meaning of unity, compassion, and community spirit. It also reflected the Islamic values of helping others, caring for neighbours, and supporting those facing hardship.
The Community Fridge continues to support local families today and remains an important part of our ongoing community service work.
At Banbury Madni Masjid, we believe strong communities are built through connection, support, and positive engagement. That is why we provide a wide range of activities and programmes designed to support physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
These activities help bring people together while encouraging healthy lifestyles, confidence, teamwork, and personal development. They also provide safe spaces where individuals can socialise, learn new skills, and strengthen their connection with the community.
Supporting young people is one of the key priorities at Banbury Madni Masjid. We are passionate about encouraging the next generation to stay connected to Islam, education, and community service.
Through engaging activities and supportive environments, we aim to inspire confidence, leadership, and positive change among our youth. Our programmes help young people develop important life skills while building strong Islamic values and a sense of responsibility towards the community.
We believe investing in young people today will help create a brighter and stronger future for the whole community.
Banbury Madni Masjid continues to work closely with schools, local councils, NHS teams, charities, and community organisations to strengthen community relations and improve support for local families.
These partnerships allow us to better understand the needs of the community and work together to provide meaningful support and opportunities. We believe communication, inclusion, and collaboration are essential for building a united and connected society.
By working together with local organisations and community groups, we can continue making a positive difference across Banbury.
As the community continues to grow, Banbury Madni Masjid remains committed to serving with sincerity, compassion, and excellence. Through faith, partnership, and community spirit, we will continue supporting individuals and families while creating positive opportunities for future generations.
With the continued support of volunteers, partners, and the wider community, Banbury Madni Masjid will continue making a lasting and meaningful impact across Banbury, Insha’Allah.
