Banbury Madni Masjid is pleased to announce Breezes of the Elect, a special Islamic gathering bringing the community together for devotional poetry, remembrance and reflection.
Compiled by Umm al-Khair, Breezes of the Elect provides an opportunity to engage with classical Islamic devotional poetry and reflect upon the love, devotion and spiritual connection that are central to our faith.
Taking place across October, November and December 2026, this three-part gathering invites members of the community to come together in a peaceful and spiritually uplifting environment at Banbury Madni Masjid.
The first gathering will take place on Sunday 18 October 2026, followed by further gatherings on Sunday 22 November 2026 and Sunday 20 December 2026.
Islamic devotional poetry has long provided a beautiful way for Muslims to express love, reverence and spiritual reflection.
Breezes of the Elect offers an opportunity for the community to pause from the busyness of everyday life and spend time in an atmosphere centred around remembrance and devotion.
Through the gathering, attendees can come together to appreciate classical devotional poetry and reflect upon the spiritual teachings and values expressed through these works.
The programme is designed to create a meaningful community experience while encouraging greater appreciation for Islamic devotional traditions.
