As’Sunnah Academy is holding two important Staff Training Days in July 2026, focusing on safeguarding and first aid training. These dedicated sessions are part of the academy’s commitment to supporting staff development and maintaining a safe, responsible and well-prepared environment for children and young people.
The training programme will take place across two Fridays. The first session, dedicated to Safeguarding Training, will be held on Friday, 24 July 2026. The second session will focus on First Aid Training and will take place on Friday, 31 July 2026.
Education involves much more than delivering lessons. Those working with children have an important responsibility to understand safeguarding procedures, recognise concerns, respond appropriately to difficult situations and be prepared to act effectively during emergencies. These training days provide an opportunity for staff to strengthen essential skills and reinforce good practices. You can help Banbury Community Fridge to feed those in need.
The first As’Sunnah Academy Staff Training Day will focus on safeguarding. Creating a secure learning environment requires staff members to have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and know how to respond when concerns arise.
Safeguarding training is an important part of working with children and young people. It helps staff develop greater awareness of potential risks, understand appropriate professional boundaries and follow the correct procedures when reporting or responding to concerns.
The session will help reinforce the importance of maintaining a culture where the safety and welfare of every child remain a priority. Staff will have an opportunity to refresh their knowledge, strengthen their understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and improve confidence in responding appropriately to different situations.
Through continued professional development, As’Sunnah Academy aims to ensure that those involved in the learning environment are informed, attentive and prepared to fulfil their responsibilities with care and professionalism.
The second training day will focus on First Aid Training. Accidents and medical emergencies can happen unexpectedly, making basic first aid knowledge an essential skill for those working in educational and community settings.
This training session will support staff in developing the knowledge and confidence needed to respond appropriately when immediate assistance may be required. Being prepared can make an important difference during an emergency while professional medical assistance is being arranged.
First aid awareness contributes to a safer environment for pupils, staff members and visitors. By strengthening practical knowledge and emergency preparedness, the academy continues to invest in the wellbeing of everyone connected with its educational activities.
The training day also provides an opportunity for staff to refresh existing knowledge and develop greater confidence when faced with situations requiring a calm and appropriate response.
The theme of the Staff Training Days is “Empowerment through Education”, reflecting the importance of continuous learning for both pupils and those responsible for supporting them.
Professional development helps staff remain informed, responsible and prepared for the challenges that may arise within an educational environment. Safeguarding and first aid are particularly important areas because they directly contribute to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and the wider community.
These sessions demonstrate a continued commitment to improving standards, strengthening staff knowledge and supporting a positive culture of responsibility. Training also encourages consistency across teams, helping staff understand shared expectations and work together effectively.
As’Sunnah Academy recognises that knowledgeable and well-prepared staff members are central to creating a positive educational experience. Regular training provides opportunities to refresh important knowledge, learn new approaches and strengthen confidence in essential areas of responsibility.
By dedicating separate training days to safeguarding and first aid, the academy is giving focused attention to two key areas of staff preparedness. These sessions will help participants strengthen practical understanding that can be applied within educational and community settings.
The July 2026 Staff Training Days form part of a wider commitment to education, welfare and responsible community development. Through investment in staff knowledge and skills, As’Sunnah Academy continues working towards safe, supportive and effective learning environments.
