As we welcome the blessed Islamic New Year of 1448 Hijri, Banbury Madni Masjid, in partnership with Banbury Makkah Masjid and the Umar Education & Welfare Centre, is honored to announce a special series of gatherings exclusively for the women of our community.

Muharram is far more than just the start of the Islamic calendar; it is a deeply special and sacred month. It is a time when Muslims around the world pause to remember the poignant story of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) family, focusing especially on the noble sacrifices of Imam Hussain.
During these gatherings, we will delve into what happened in Karbala. The events of Karbala are not merely historical accounts; they form a profound story that teaches us timeless and essential values about truth, kindness, immense courage, and the unwavering importance of standing up for what is right, regardless of the adversity faced.
