Safeguarding is a shared responsibility that helps create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for everyone, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Banbury Madni Masjid is pleased to invite volunteers, teachers, community leaders, parents, carers, and anyone involved in community work to attend our Safeguarding Training Workshop.
Delivered by Vicky Hatch, Children and Family Centre Manager, this informative workshop has been designed to raise awareness of safeguarding responsibilities, promote best practices, and equip attendees with the confidence to recognise, respond to, and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Whether you currently volunteer within the mosque or are simply interested in learning more about safeguarding, this workshop provides valuable knowledge that will benefit both individuals and the wider community.
Every organisation that works with children, young people, or vulnerable adults has a duty to provide a safe environment. Safeguarding is not just about responding to concerns—it is about creating a culture where everyone feels respected, protected, and supported.
This workshop will help participants understand the importance of early intervention, recognising potential risks, and ensuring that appropriate safeguarding procedures are always followed.
By increasing awareness and understanding, we can all play a role in protecting those who rely on our care and support.
The workshop will be led by Vicky Hatch, Children and Family Centre Manager, who brings extensive professional experience in safeguarding, child welfare, and family support.
Drawing on practical knowledge and real-life experience, the session will provide attendees with clear guidance that can be applied within community organisations, educational settings, and everyday life.
The workshop is suitable for both those new to safeguarding and individuals looking to refresh or strengthen their existing knowledge.
The session will include practical guidance designed to help attendees understand how safeguarding applies in real-life situations.
No previous safeguarding training is required, making this an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to improve their understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
