Imam & Spiritual Guide
Al-Hafiz Qari Wazir Ahmad Naushahi is a dedicated Islamic scholar, imam, and spiritual guide who has served the Muslim community for decades in Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
He began his religious education in Mirpur, Chak Swari, under the esteemed guidance of Allama Hafiz Muhammad Anwar Naushahi Qadri. His initial Hifz-ul-Qur’an training was under Allama Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Siddiq. He then pursued advanced Islamic studies, including the classical sciences, under the mentorship of his teacher and spiritual guide, Pir Syed Maroof Hussain Shah Qadri Naushahi RA studying for approximately twelve years at Jamia Islamia Chakswari.
Upon completion of his studies, he served for about two and a half years as Imam and Khateeb in Dina, Jhelum District, Pakistan.
In 1980, upon the instruction of Pir Syed Maroof Hussain Shah Qadri Naushahi RA he traveled to the United Kingdom to join Jamiat Tabligh-ul-Islam in Sheffield. He later continued his service in Bradford, working with the Islamic Missionary College.
On 13 September 1994, he arrived in Banbury to serve at Banbury Madni Masjid upon the instruction of Pir Syed Maroof Hussain Shah Qadri Naushahi RA, where he has since led the five daily prayers, Jumu‘ah prayers, Eid prayers, funeral services, Nikah ceremonies, and Qur’anic education.
On 6 February 2016, he was formally granted Khilaafat (spiritual succession) by his teacher, Pir Syed Maroof Hussain Shah Qadri Naushahi RA.
Throughout his life, he has committed to serving the community through the preservation of Qur’anic teachings, the dissemination of Islamic knowledge, and the spiritual and moral guidance of his community.
