Sha’ban is the eighth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It is known as the month that prepares believers for Ramadan. It was the month in which the Qiblah (direction of prayer) was changed from Masjid Al-Aqsa to the Ka’bah in Makkah, a significant event that strengthened the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Sha’ban was also especially beloved to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who used to fast more in this month than in any other month besides Ramadan.
Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ by fasting during Sha’ban.
Reflect on the blessing of facing the Ka’bah in prayer and pray with focus and gratitude.
Use this month to fix bad habits and build good ones before Ramadan begins.
