Umar Education & Welfare Centre is pleased to invite sisters and young girls to a hands-on “Learn to Make Roti” workshop, designed to teach the essential skill of making soft, delicious rotis from scratch. This practical session is ideal for beginners as well as those who would like to improve their technique and confidence in the kitchen.
Roti-making is a valuable life skill, deeply rooted in cultural tradition and everyday family life. This workshop offers a friendly, supportive environment where participants can learn step by step, ask questions freely, and enjoy the process together.
Participants will be guided through the full roti-making process, including preparing the dough, rolling techniques, and cooking methods to achieve the perfect texture. The session focuses on practical learning, allowing attendees to gain confidence through hands-on practice rather than just observation.
Girls aged 8 years and above are welcome to attend. Participants are kindly asked to bring their own rolling pin for the session.
This event is perfect for girls who are eager to learn cooking basics, develop independence, and take part in a fun educational activity. Parents are encouraged to register early, as spaces may be limited.
